Explore the potential healing benefit of breathwork and how it can foster self-exploration, self-discovery, and wholeness in one’s life. 

Transpersonal Breathwork is a breathing technique that can foster a cathartic re-experience of one’s biographical history, the birth process, and experiences of archetypal and cosmic nature. The experience of breathwork can be cathartic in nature, releasing stored physical or emotional energy, or it can be extremely calming and relaxing. There are a wide variety of experiences one can experience, but many of these experiences, despite their nature, can help one create meaning and wholeness in life. 

The theory and technique of Transpersonal Breathwork stem directly from Stan and Christina Grof’s Holotropic Breathwork. The five components of breathwork are; intensified breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, group process, and expressive art. 

This workshop will explore a brief history of Stan Grof’s theories and the history of Holotropic Breathwork followed by a breathwork session.

In this 4-week online support group, you will receive four (4) one hour and a half (1.5 hours) group support calls. This is an opportunity to connect with others who may have experienced a spiritual emergence process or are supporting others in the process. Journey into your body, mind, and spirit through the practice of yoga and breathwork. This workshop will include a one-hour yoga session followed by a 45-minute breathwork session.

This is a great opportunity to explore the connection between the body, mind, and spirit.

 

The yoga session will be led by Taylor Russack, RYT 200, and Breathwork by Kyle Buller.

The word "emergency" suggests a psychological or spiritual crisis, but it also hints towards an opportunity to "emerge" from the crisis -- accessing and gaining a higher level of spiritual and psychological awareness

Intro to Transpersonal Breathwork

Friday, August 28th --  5pm-8pm @ Sacred Mountain Studio -- 215 College Street, 3rd floor. 

Come explore the potential healing benefit of breathwork, and the how it can foster self-exploration, self-discovery, and wholeness in one’s life.  This introduction workshop is great for anyone completely new to breathwork, and for people with past experience.  This is also a great way to explore breathwork without having to dedicate your time to a full day or weekend -- the typical length of a full breathwork workshop.  Bring a friend along, and explore the power of breath.  

Transpersonal Breathwork is a breathing technique that can foster a cathartic re-experience of one’s biographical history, birth process, and experiences of archetypal and cosmic nature.  The experience of breathwork can be cathartic in nature, releasing stored physical or emotional energy, or it can be extremely calming and relaxing.  There are a wide variety of experiences one can experience, but many of these experiences, despite their nature, can help one create meaning and wholeness in life. The theory and technique of Transpersonal Breathwork stems directly from Stan and Christina Grof’s Holotropic Breathwork.  The five components of breathwork are; intensified breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, group process, and expressive art.  

This workshop will explore a brief history of Stan Grof’s theories, and the history of Holotropic Breathwork.  It will also include a “mini” breathwork session -- around 30-45 minutes long.  Typical breathwork sessions last anywhere from 2-3 hours.

Are you ready to dive deeper into breathwork?  Do you have previous experience with breathwork?  Or have you participated in one of  our “Intro to Transpersonal Breathwork” workshops?  This workshop is perfect for someone who has had previous experience with breathwork, and wants to dive deeper into the process.  The workshop will consist of a full length breathwork session, lasting about two and half to three (2.5-3) hours.

Cacao Gathering

We will be joining together to drink cacao in ceremony and to explore our inner and outer worlds through music, movement, meditation and more. We will enjoy each others' company as the sun sets over the lake. Feel free to bring a friend and a skill to share (but neither are required.) Community Cocao Ceremony & Ecstatic Dance

Kyle and Lucas will be helping to facilitate a cacao ceremony along with other friends at Swan Dojo on Saturday, April 11th from 6:00PM - 9:00PM. 

Via Swan Dojo:

“Food of the Gods” 

Traditionally cacao has been used in ceremony to bring communities together by faciliating openness and connection. Cacao is extremely rich in minerals and mood stimulating compounds like theobromine and phenethylamine. These stimulants are very mild in comparison to that of caffeine, but invoke a very euphoric and pleasurable release of endorphins and serotonin associated with falling in love! There are many interpretations of cacao ceremonies, at this ceremony we will be co-creating a spontaneous and unique experience based on the collective energy. Expect to be saturated in sacred sound healing, invited into relaxing breathing techniques, compelled to join in song, and eloquently transitioned into ecstatic dancing!

This is YOUR ceremony!

Things to keep in mind…
– It is often suggested to not eat for 6 hours before consuming cocao for ceremony. While this is definitely an invitation into a full experience, please be mindful of what your body needs. Eating “lightly” during this time is just as well, and if you really have to eat, EAT!
– Drink a lot of water during the day prior to the ceremony.
