Psychedelic Preparation & Integration Coaching

Turn Insights Into Lasting Change

Maybe you're curious about psychedelics but don't know where to start.

Maybe you're preparing for your first journey and want to do it right.

Or maybe the experience was profound—now what?

Whether you're in the curiosity phase, actively preparing for a journey, or integrating afterwards, you're in sacred territory. You're considering or have experienced something that could fundamentally shift how you see yourself and the world.

For those exploring: Psychedelics aren't for everyone, and timing matters. The right guidance helps you discern if, when, and how to approach this work safely and intentionally.

For those preparing: As I always like to say, “Good integration begins with preparation.” The difference between a transformative experience and a confusing one often comes down to preparation. Having the right mindset, tools, and support before you journey can mean the difference between breakthrough and overwhelm.

For those integrating: You've got the download, opened your mind, saw new possibilities, confronted old patterns, or felt something shift deep inside. But now, weeks or months later, you might be wondering: How do I keep this alive? How do I actually change?

Why Preparation and Integration Matter

A safe and meaningful psychedelic journey isn’t just about what happens in the session, but it’s about how you prepare and how you integrate afterward. Both phases are essential.

The Power of Preparation

  • Set the Foundation for Safety and Healing
Careful preparation reduces risks and improves outcomes. Research shows that the classic psychedelic triad—set and setting plus preparation—strongly influences whether an experience is healing or destabilizing.

  • Clarify Your Intention
Going into a journey with a clear intention can shape the experience and guide what arises. Studies on psilocybin therapy emphasize that intention-setting helps participants anchor their sessions in personal meaning.

  • Build Trust and Readiness
Emotional and psychological preparation, through reflection, somatic practices, breathwork, or therapy, creates resilience for whatever comes up. Being ready doesn’t eliminate challenge, but it transforms difficulty into opportunity.

  • Create a Supportive Container
Preparation isn’t only internal; it also includes choosing safe facilitators, a supportive setting, and ensuring your physical and emotional needs are met. These steps reduce the likelihood of overwhelming or unsafe experiences.

The Role of Integration

  • Sustain Your Growth
Integration is critical for long-term improvements. Without it, early relief often fades as old habits reassert themselves.

  • Transform Challenges Into Breakthroughs
Difficult journeys can become powerful catalysts for healing if you have guidance afterward. Lack of support is one of the strongest predictors of long-term negative responses.

  • Make Insights Real
Integration is where insight turns into action. Without it, even profound realizations risk being forgotten rather than lived and embodied.

  • Deepen Spiritual Meaning
Spiritual experiences are enriched through reflection and grounding. Integration ensures they inform your life instead of becoming fleeting memories.

My Approach to Integration

I approach psychedelic integration through the Breath | Psyche | Soma Framework—a holistic path that blends breathwork and breath practices, transpersonal and depth-oriented perspectives, somatic awareness, and embodied practices. This framework reflects not only my academic training but also two decades of immersion in transformational work.

I hold a B.A. in Transpersonal Psychology and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology. While I do not provide psychotherapy or clinical mental health services in these sessions, my academic and professional background deeply informs how I hold space and guide integration.

My approach is also shaped by lived experience: a near-death experience that opened me to the liminal, 15+ years of intensive breathwork practice, and countless hours of exploration in expanded states.

Leadership in the Field

Beyond personal and academic training, my work is anchored in deep professional expertise. As co-founder of Psychedelics Today, one of the world’s leading platforms for psychedelic media and education, I’ve spent nearly a decade educating, interviewing, and connecting with the foremost voices in this space.

I am also a co-creator of Vital Psychedelic Training, a 12-month professional certificate program that trains clinicians, coaches, and guides in psychedelic-informed care. Through Vital, I’ve helped shape how hundreds of practitioners approach preparation, facilitation, and integration—bringing together cutting-edge science, somatic psychology, and transpersonal wisdom.

This unique vantage point—working at the intersection of research, training, and lived experience—means I offer clients not only personal guidance but also insights informed by the pulse of the psychedelic field itself.
